Re: Club Cash - West Ham taking the piss again?
I never listed my season ticket on the club side purely because I’d rather get nothing than take a pittance to allow them to make a big profit on a ticket I had already paid for.

I don’t know why anyone gives them the chance to rip you off like that. If everyone stopped using it. They would have to make it worth you while instead of giving you a small amount of ‘club cash’.

Maybe, hard to compare a season ticket holder with the occasional concert ticket holder.

If any business treats their best customers like shit, then they are in danger of losing the faith of those customers. The fact that we are fans mean they can get away with it to a large extent,..for now

Aren't tickets for any event non refundable, it's just the way it is.

No - the club make a fortune reselling 'sell-out game' tickets. Then the pittance they pay back to supporters after all of their 'add ons' is in 'club cash'. Where this thread started. They seem to be taking liberties on that also.

It’s a shit policy if there’s no flexibility for people who have put money into your club through season tickets for years.

They will resell if a sellout, as they make a fucking mint out of it but best I stop moaning now LOL

Whu - It's policy not to refund tickers, don't see the problem with that. The rail strike was already on when they went on sale

Nice to see club respecting and rewarding amongst the best support anywhere. Cunts.

I'm particularly pleased with no refund on Thursdays game due to no way of getting there. Being a ST holder for many years irrelevant. Many in this boat my guess.

I got this yesterday to, applies to all club cash generated before April 22, it doesn’t impact me as I used mine as part of my renewal but it is poor form. I could understand if the cash was generated through some sort of point scheme similar to BA but as the club cash is from where they have sold your ticket for cash to someone else and already have your cash then this isn’t right

OtB! My guess is they’ve covered it already with their legal team and use of terms and conditions of sale, but it doesn’t stop it being wholly unfair on the customer. Banks can’t do that. Utility companies can’t. Shops can’t. Solicitors can’t. They all handle client monies and have to adhere to strict rules in most cases

Morning Kaiser ;)

No idea of the legality of it, but I've wondered similar with airline credit from the last couple of years. BA credits expire next September at the latest, I think.

You know what they're like with money so I'd be shocked if they didn't have this tied up very tight legally.

I'd like to see a legal challenge to what they are doing to supporters money that is due to them.

I can't think of another instance where you can have a credit balance in your favour, that the debtor stipulates you can't have back in full in cash. As for writing the thing off after a certain deadline, that would seem highly illegal as well?

I didn’t renew after the COVID but left a few hundred quid in my account from my season tickets , this season the club asked me if l wanted to renew , l had a little think and renewed with the money in my account , they charged me a booking fee on the money that l had in my account that I’d already paid a booking fee on , l know it’s only a couple of quid but what is 52,000 x£2 ?
